One frail foolish flicker-flash in the long dull fall of eternity.

Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I'm new to web page authoring, blogging, and Drupal- so bear with me. PS- Those pants are hawt!!!

SSDD FFBB

Well, I fought the good fight with Drupal, my hosting company’s interface, Filezilla, and most of all- my own ignorance for many hours Friday. With a LOT of patient help from Drittzz, I finally managed to get Gallery installed!

Still Kickin

Well, it's been a busy couple of weeks since I've blogged. I've knocked out The Accidental Tourist by Anne Tyler, and Dreamcatcher and Duma Key by Stephen King, saw Iron Man at theatre, had a crown put on, made travel plans for Orlando in three weeks, some yardwork and lots of housework, and looking at buying a new car.

The Old Man is down the Road

Good morning, technoputians!

You are My Density

Well, I signed up on www.socialspark.com, an interesting new social networking site from www.izea.com which links bloggers who would like to monetize their blogs with advertisers who are looking to get some exposure in the blogosphere.

Dancing Naked II

I promised a review of the book Dancing Naked in the Mind Field by Kary Mullis, as well as ongoing reviews of what I'm reading from there forward. Last night I made a token concession to my sleep debt and only read The Mutiny on board HMS Bounty by William Bligh. I knocked it out in a sitting and then slept almost 12 hours, minus a barely remembered phone call from Nixfiction.

Dancing Naked in the Mind Field

Well, over the weekend I managed to have some fun with the kids, get some housework done, visit with some friends Sunday, and even sleep a few hours between reading. I knocked out Stephen King's "Lisey's Story" (600+ pages, woe to my sleep debt). Great book, a return to Castle Rock, and another book about a writer (well, as told through his widow). I understand that it was his return novel after the IRL accident, and probably partially driven by thoughts of what would become of his wife if he left this mortal coil.

Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies

OK, I know back on Monday I promised to post more on Tuesday or Wednesday. You should never believe what I tell you of my plans, they usually end up shot to hell anyway.

Back in the Saddle Again

Well, tonstant weader, I'm finally back. I had quite a gap in my posting there; specific excuses available upon request, otherwise I won't bother you with them here. Suffice to say between legal battle with the ex, some big projects at work, health issues, holidays, and frustration with Drupal (shut up, Jooblie, I know you warned me!), I just haven't been my usual lovable, loquacious self.

I intend to remedy that (almost) immediately by trying out a pledge to myself to post at least 2-3 times per week, because you, my friends, deserve no less.

Turkey Weekend

Well, I had a good holiday weekend.

Thursday I hosted a small Thanksgiving lunch- kids, Greg, and Donna and Annalyse (those were my guests, not what I cooked for lunch!). Food came out well and lunch was very relaxed. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. (Note to self- doesn't do any good to glaze a ham if you don't remove the casing!) Donna took off, then kids went back to their mom's. Greg was able to hang out for a bit and jooblie came over and we threw down on some WoW TCG* melee action.
